Sandra joins Dairy Council of California bringing over a decade of expertise in public health, leading community health programs, outreach, and intervention strategies that support nutrition security and health equity. Her professional experience includes working with PHI Center for Wellness and Nutrition, as well as Ventura County Public Health, FoodShare, Central Valley Health Network, and Network for a Healthy California. Sandra has an MPH with a Health Policy Leadership concentration.
Sandra will be leading our newly received grant from the Legacy Health Endowment, a project that focuses on providing community-based nutrition support and dairy food vouchers to mothers with infants/toddlers living in Gustine, CA. As a bilingual (English-Spanish) public health professional with experience in culturally relevant health literacy, we are excited to have Sandra support Dairy Council of California in our ongoing efforts of DEIA centered nutrition PSE approaches.
