June is National Dairy Month! Let’s raise a glass (of milk!) to the hardworking dairy farmers and all the dairy products that nourish our lives every day. From savory cheeses to probiotic-packed yogurts, dairy is consumed all over the world.

PrimarySecondaryHero_JIDM2025What is National Dairy Month?

National Dairy Month began in 1937 as a way to promote milk consumption. Over the decades, it has grown into a month-long celebration of milk’s role in lifelong wellness.

World Milk Day – June 1st

The month kicks off with World Milk Day on June 1st. This day brings communities & organizations all over the world together to highlight dairy’s impact on global health & showcase sustainable dairy farming practices.

Dairy Around the World

DAW_PG1_ProdCatCardDairy is a global staple that has connected people for centuries! From savory feta in Greece to creamy amasi in South Africa, dairy has been an essential ingredient in many countries and communities.

Dairy contains calcium, vitamin D, and protein but it also provides gut, brain, and immune support. Fermented dairy foods like yogurt & kefir contain live cultures that nourish your gut microbiome and support digestion. Dairy foods contribute to overall wellness at every stage of life.

In celebration, try making a delicious dairy inspired recipe that is fresh and flavorful. Feta Greek Salad celebrates one of the world’s most iconic cheeses.

Feta Cheese

Feta cheese is a nutrition powerhouse. Did you know? Traditional Feta cheese is made from sheep or goat’s milk, but most of the production in the USA comes from cow’s milk! Feta is rich in calcium and protein to support strong bones and muscles. See recipe below.
