Research Spotlight

Whole milk and dairy foods are receiving renewed attention as science continues to evolve our understanding of dietary fats. A growing body of evidence shows that full-fat dairy has a neutral or positive impact on a range of health outcomes, including cardiovascular disease risk, type 2 diabetes and weight management.  Dairy foods at all fat levels can fit within healthy eating patterns depending on individual needs, metabolic health and cultural preferences.

New Nutrition Education Resource for Healthy Aging

Dairy Support Healthy AgingDairy Supports Healthy Aging highlights how dairy foods, balanced nutrition and daily movement support wellness throughout adulthood. This easy-to-use resource offers practical tips to promote brain, bone, muscle and gut health as we age.

Available free of charge in English and Spanish as tear pads (50 sheets) and a downloadable digital resource for health professionals and community partners. Materials are approved by the California Department of Health Care Services for readability and suitability for Medi-Cal managed care plans.
