Tracy serves as a Resource Content Development Program Manager for the Dairy Council of California.
Tracy Mendez is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) and Program Manager of Resource Content Development at Dairy Council of California. She works with partners in education, healthcare, nonprofits, state agencies, and agriculture to create inclusive food and nutrition education, while integrating dairy’s role in healthy eating, often where it is overlooked.
Tracy brings experience with food systems, content and curriculum development, professional training, and evaluation throughout California, with contributions to health literacy initiatives, award-winning broadcast media and public-facing nutrition tools for all ages. Her work translates nutrition science into accessible learning experiences with engaging discovery and practical application.
She is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the Society of Nutrition Education and Behavior, and has served on advisory panels including the California Department of Education’s Nutrition Education Resource Guide and the national SNAP-Ed Toolkit. Tracy held leadership roles within local and national professional and education-focused organizations.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition with a minor in Spanish from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, completed her dietetic internship at California State University, Fresno, and earned a certificate of training in child and adolescent weight management through the Commission on Dietetic Registration."
