Tracy Mendez has been a registered dietitian nutritionist since 2007, advancing relatable effective nutrition education solutions in collaboration with education, health and agriculture champions.
Tracy is a Program Manager for Dairy Council of California where she oversees efforts to elevate the health of communities and improve nutrition equity through science-based nutrition education resources, partnerships and systems. Her experience includes oversight of California’s leading nutrition education programs, strategic program development, nutrition education development and assessment, school wellness strategy, facilitation and community outreach.
She holds a leadership role on a dietetics practice group of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and served on panels for nutrition interventions, including the SNAP-Ed Toolkit and California Department of Education’s Nutrition Education Resource Guide.
Tracy earned her Bachelor of Science degree in nutrition with a minor in Spanish from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. She completed the dietetic internship program at California State University, Fresno and holds a certificate of training in child and adolescent weight management from the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
