Sonia Fernandez Arana serves as the School Nutrition Program Manager at Dairy Council of California, where she leads the activation of statewide initiatives designed to empower the health of school age children.
With more than 20 years of experience in community health, Sonia brings deep expertise in strategic partnerships, program development and grant management to drive systems-level change and mobilize partners around shared goals.
As a nutrition and education leader, she is committed to advancing community-driven solutions across school and community settings, working closely with school nutrition professionals, education partners and community health leaders.
Sonia earned a Master of Arts in Teaching from National University, Sacramento, and a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Food Science with an emphasis in General Dietetics from California State University, Chico.
