Lisa Larsen serves as School Education Program Manager at Dairy Council of California. She oversees efforts to elevate the health of communities and improve nutrition equity through science-based nutrition education resources, partnerships and systems. Her experience includes oversight of California's leading nutrition education programs, strategic nutrition education development and assessment, partnership engagement and development, school wellness strategy, facilitation and community outreach.
A nutrition professional with more than two decades of experience, Lisa believes that planning is the cornerstone of progress. She is a firm believer in bringing visions to life by developing strong strategic plans with executable tactics and tangible metrics to anticipate impact before implementation—an approach she applies to her work and shares with her team. Her goal is to empower educators, health professionals, industry partners and school nutrition professionals to ensure nutrition, nutrition education and nutrition security remain priorities in schools and communities.
Lisa is proud that her work continues to elevate the health of children and families by supporting key access points for nutrition and nutrition education, while advocating for healthy growth, development and improved academic performance.
Lisa earned a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics and Food Science from California State University, Chico.
