Alyssa serves as Program Director in Dairy Council of California's Partnerships and Programs Department.
Alyssa McClelland serves as Program Director in Dairy Council of California's Partnerships and Programs Department. She is an experienced change-maker whose work has impacted healthy changes for youth and adults in the classroom, after school, at home and in community through both individual education and policy settings. Alyssa has been an active leader for the Local School Wellness Policy Collaborative, participating in the Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child Domain and Food Access Domain. Through her work in community nutrition education, she has been able to build local, state and regional partnerships with key stakeholders in education, health care, nonprofit, public health/government agencies and community-based organizations. She also has a wide range of experience working in diverse communities with individuals and families of all backgrounds.
Along with the dairy community, Alyssa is committed to raising awareness and access to healthy eating and physical activity. Through collaboration with local and state organizations this commitment can come to life, all while raising the next generation of change-makers.
Alyssa earned a Master of Science degree in counseling and student services from California State University, Fresno.
