Dairy Council of California is a state government entity operating under the direction of the California Department of Food and Agriculture; funded by California’s dairy producers and processors. Our primary goal is to enhance the health and well-being of children and adults by enabling individuals to make healthful food and lifestyle choices. We are staffed by registered dietitians, nutritionists, educators and communications specialists in four regional offices throughout California: Sacramento, Oakland, Culver City and Irvine.

What client materials do you have available?

Are all materials available to health professionals free of charge?

If you are a health professional residing in California, the materials are free. Those residing outside California may purchase the materials. Click here to learn more about ordering materials from outside California.

How can I order more materials?

How often can I order materials?

You can order materials as you need them. We do encourage our customers to order materials for a six month time frame, to avoid rush orders and reduce the cost of shipment.

How long will it take for my order to arrive?

Your order should arrive in two to four weeks. If you have not received your order within this time frame, sign in and check your order history on this website or call us at 877-324-7901.

Can I request a person in your organization to come and speak for my clients/audiences?

Due to our limited number of staff, we are usually unable to provide guest speakers. However, our staff will be able to support you with materials, information and speaker referrals for your presentation.

Who develops your materials?

Dairy Council of California nutrition education programs are developed by Dairy Council staff with qualifications in nutrition, research and the education fields. The programs are field tested to ensure success and then are reviewed by external nutrition experts and practitioners to ensure the accuracy and objectivity of the information. The programs are based on the USDA MyPyramid; promoting all food groups according to MyPyramid recommendations.

Do you evaluate your materials? Can I get copies of your evaluation reports?

All Dairy Council of California nutrition education programs and materials are evaluated on an ongoing basis to ensure that they work for the end user, promote behavior change and instill positive lifestyle changes. The evaluation reports are posted on the website.
